Due to strong demand here are the details for Ride’s winter trip to Far North Queensland.

Ride Kitesurfing in conjunction with Australian Kite Surfari WILL TAKE YOU THERE!

The location is on traditional Aboriginal land, north of Cooktown in Australia’s far North Queensland. Australian Kite Surfari has been granted exclusive permission to run tours from this spectacular SLICE OF PARADISE. (NO PUBLIC KITESURFING ALLOWED, ONLY KITE SURFARI GUESTS!!)

Strong and constant trade winds off Cape Flattery, mean these Surfari’s are ideal for EXPERIENCED KITERS or BEGINNERS that are up and riding and ready to progress. With only a handful of non kite-able days in the season, it’s not surprising it has become the Winter kite destination of choice for so many kiters.

This is the ideal SECRET KITESURFING SPOT!

The cabins are only meters from the water’s edge, so you are never far from the action. Access to the camp is at low tide, as the tide comes in you are cut off from the rest of the world. NO CROWDS, just consistently strong trade winds, warm water and a group of like-minded people SURROUNDED BY NATURE.

There are kilometres of flat water lagoons, that are only waist deep, with soft silica sand (not coral) so it’s not hard on your feet or your gear.

If you have an issue with your gear or something happens, you can walk to shore, but there is also a support boat at the ready, if needed.

You can just chill in a hammock and take in the beauty of the location. Be as busy, or relaxed, as you like. Take a hike through the sand dunes and enjoy the breathtaking view. Kite Safari is completely off grid, giving you the chance to switch off from the world and immerse yourself in the experience.

Each day there will be coaching sessions and demo equipment available. Maybe you want to work on your jumping technique, learn how to ride a surfboard or give kite or wing foiling a go. This equipment and tuition will all be available for your trip with Ride Kitesurfing to Australian Kite Surfari.

A TYPICAL DAY ON TOUR....

Dawn kite session (YES that’s right.. as the sun comes up!)
Breakfast: bacon and eggs or cereal and fruit.
The day is yours! The beach is right there, only metres from you so kite again or get on one of Matty’s clinic’s 🤙🏼
Lunch: wide variety of meals available, from fresh rolls and salads, to a range of light and healthy options.
Go for another kite!!!
Relax for a bit (read a book… siesta...) and then kite again!!!
Dinner: Simple but nourishing meals that will hit the spot after a big day on the water!! (Everyone wants a piece of Nikki’s Cooking)

Share Cabin: $2799pp (2 guests to a cabin)

Single Cabin: $3299pp (your own space)

All prices include:

Transport of your kite gear from Adelaide to Kite Surfari and return. (2 kites, 1 bar and lines, 1 harness, personal wetsuit and a board per person, anything else you need or want to ride, put in a request at time of booking and we will make sure your needs are covered with the RIDE Demo gear).
Use of all demo equipment by RIDE kitesurfing.
Daily Clinics (Transition to surfboard riding, self launch/land, basic jumping and more)
7 nights accomodation on site at “Tank town” Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, snacks and water while at Kite Surfari.
“Cocktail night” drinks 🍹
All transfers to and from Cooktown Airport (recommended flight details with ‘Hinterland Aviation’ from cairns and recommended flights from Adelaide will be available on booking of tour).
